Gilbert is surrounded by multiuse trails, desert wildlife, unique experiences, and plenty of parks for the whole family to enjoy! Indulge in outdoor adventures by heading to Freestone Park to ride an antique carousel, test your fitness at Desert Sky Park, or catch some fish at Discovery Park. Cactus Yards
Cactus Yards offers an experience unlike any other. Play like a pro at one of the eight ballfields modeled after major league fields and at the indoor soccer facility.
Cosmo Dog Park
Ranked the fourth-best dog park in the US, Cosmo Dog Park features a lighted, fenced park with a lake for swimming and two dog-wash stations.
Crossroads Park
This park features various sports fields, picnic ramadas, play areas, an amphitheater, and a lake, and is home to AZ Ice skating rink.
Desert Sky Park
Desert Sky Park is a developing sports facility that will feature 16 multi-use fields. Currently the park features four multi-use fields, a lake, and Ninja Warrior style playground.
Discovery District Park
This 48-acre park features a butterfly garden, fishing lakes, play areas, and multiple multi-use fields.
Freestone District Park
This expansive park features sports facilities, athletic fields, a playground, a train, carnival rides, picnic areas, a skate park, and an amphitheater.
Gilbert Regional Park
Large splash pad, modern playground, and a fishing lake, plus pickleball, volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts.
McQueen Park
McQueen Park offers various sports courts, a lake, play areas, and various trails.
Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch
This 160-acre preserve features trails, picnic and recreational areas, a dinosaur-dig site, and camping sites.
Water Tower Plaza
Located in Gilbert’s Heritage District, Water Tower Park is a gathering place for community events. Below the tower are a splash pad and outdoor seating.
Zanjero Park
This 20-acre park offers a one-mile trail with hitching posts and water troughs for horseback riding. The park also contains a multi-use trail that links up to the SanTan Trail.
