HD South Gilbert Historical Museum
Gilbert Historical Museum has been at the heart of the Gilbert community since 1982. The HD SOUTH building, the original Gilbert Elementary School built in 1913 and home to the museum, sits proudly on the National Register of Historic Places, the only building in Gilbert with that designation.

Integrated Art
The Gilbert Heritage District is full of art and much of it is integrated into the design of the buildings and surrounding infrastructure. The intent of integrating art into the design of the district is to pay homage to the heritage of Gilbert. Some of the major themes include water, agriculture, lighting, people, and community.
9-11 Memorial
Visit Gilbert’s touching 9/11 Memorial at 50 E. Civic Center Drive. Stand where a piece of the World Trade Center’s North Tower once stood, surrounded by granite walls bearing the names of the lost, and bricks inscribed with heartfelt messages. A place of reflection shaped by history.
Sister City Garden
Nestled within Gilbert Regional Park, this enchanting garden blossoms with the spirit of global unity. Created by Gilbert Sister Cities and the town, it’s a tribute to our cherished bonds with Antrim-Newtownabbey in Northern Ireland and Leshan, China.
